Everything Leaving Netflix in March 2023

Posted By Matthew.England

Every month, Netflix has to renegotiate contracts and get rid of some of its streaming offerings. Here are the movies and shows that will be leaving the service in March.

Every month, Netflix adds a bunch of new content to its library of films and TV shows. But to make room for the fresh meat, some of the shows and movies you’d always wanted to watch—and had in your My List for months or years—suddenly disappear.

That’s because Netflix doesn’t own all the content it streams. The deals it has with networks, production companies, and movie studios mean much of that content comes and, unfortunately, goes with startling regularity. So each month, we keep you up to date with the newest list of what’s leaving the service, for Netflix veterans or those who are just signing up now. We’ll highlight our top choices for what you should view before it’s too late; the full list is below.

Lee Daniels’ The Butler (Gone Mar. 16)

Director/co-producer Lee Daniels can be a polarizing figure who sometimes seems a little high on his own supply, but 2013’s The Butler is a remarkably fascinating film. Tracing the fictional life of Cecil Gaines, a White House butler who served no fewer than eight presidents, it’s a side of history that we don’t often get to experience.

Shtisel (Gone Mar. 24)

This one might have passed under your radar, but you’ve got a little more time to give Shtisel a chance. Over three seasons, this Israeli drama lets us see what life is like in ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem, and it’s worth a watch.

30 Minutes Or Less (Gone Mar. 31)

It’s a little weird that Netflix is losing 30 Minutes Or Less, given that the streamer has a documentary series, Evil Genius, about the bizarre real-world crime that inspired the fictional film. It stars Jesse Eisenberg as a hapless pizza delivery boy forced to rob a bank with a bomb strapped around his neck.
